Chief Compliance Officer, Zurich North America
Damian Sepanik is Chief Compliance Officer of Zurich North America, responsible for all ethics and compliance matters in the U.S. and Canada for Zurich’s P&C and Life businesses. Damian is also a member of Zurich’s Group Compliance Executive Committee providing leadership support to Zurich’s global compliance function. While at Zurich, Damian completed a foreign assignment in Australia. He has more than thirty years of experience in the insurance industry, including numerous legal roles. He was general counsel of the personal lines and large commercial risk businesses (including Bermuda operations) at CNA Insurance where he also led an in-house coverage litigation law firm of approximately 50 attorneys in four regional locations. While at CNA, he was also responsible for financial regulatory matters. His private practice experience focused on insurance regulatory issues and complex insurance transactions.
Business Solutions Specialist, Accuity
Mike LaScola is a Business Solutions Specialist at Accuity who works out of Accuity’s Chicago office. He works with Accutiy’s customers to understand their Compliance and KYC business processes so that he can make recommendations to improve their screening quality and screening efficiency. He is a graduate of Indiana University and is currently working on his MBA.
Key Account Manager, Accuity
Marc joined Accuity in 2012, and is based in the New York office. As a Key Account Manager, he works to support existing business and develop new customers across the Insurance industry. Marc’s expertise is helping companies meet OFAC & Global Watchlist Screening Guidelines, enhancing the workflow of screening policies and payments, and integrating siloed OFAC systems that arise from a merger or acquisition. Marc graduated Yeshiva University with a B.S in Accounting.

Catherine has over 24 years of compliance, risk, audit, and strategy experience in the financial service and insurance industries. She is currently a Proposition Sales Specialist for the Risk Team at Refinitiv, formerly Thomson Reuters. Catherine has worked at JP Morgan, Bank of New York Mellon, ING, and AIG in a Compliance capacity with a focus on global KYC programs, Sanctions, PEP, Adverse Media, and Customer Due Diligence.
